Melinda Rogers is the Founder of Rogers Venture Partners and is the Vice Chair of Rogers Control Trust of Rogers Communications since 2015 where she was the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development from 2006 to 2014.
Melinda has over 15 years of experience with entrepreneurial companies in both investment and operating roles and has served as an executive in both private and public technology companies, playing an integral role as an executive and officer.
In her previous role as SVP, Strategy and Development at RCI, Melinda was not only responsible for leading the group as it found profitable growth by targeting emerging businesses new to Rogers’ existing portfolio but was also accountable for the direction of a range of long-term innovation and strategic initiatives for the company.
Melinda has served as a board member and advisor for a number of companies. She is currently the Chair of the Jays Care Foundation – the award winning philanthropic and charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club. She is a Lieutenant Governor in Council (LGIC) Government Appointee of the University of Toronto; the Chair of Texture by Next Issue Media and is also an International Board member at Right To Play.
Melinda holds a B.A., University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A., from the Joseph L. Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.
